Installation
SONSILL 156mm Charcoal WPC Cladding boards install horizontally or vertically onto a prepared aluminium or galvanised steel subframe using a hidden clip fixing system or face-fix stainless steel screws. Erect the subframe at 400–600mm centres, ensuring all members are level, plumb, and structurally fixed to the building substrate. For hidden clip installation, fix the first board at the base of the wall and engage the clip into the board groove before fixing the clip to the subframe. Continue installing boards upward, engaging each board into the clip of the previous board. Maintain a minimum 10mm expansion gap at all board ends and perimeter junctions to accommodate thermal movement. For poolside or coastal installations, use marine-grade stainless steel fixings throughout. Finish all exposed board ends with compatible SONSILL WPC charcoal end caps or aluminium trim sections.
