Installation
SONSILL 219mm Hollow WPC Wall Cladding boards install horizontally onto a prepared aluminium or timber batten subframe using face-fix stainless steel screws or a compatible clip system. Erect the subframe at 400–600mm centres, ensuring all members are level, plumb, and structurally fixed to the building substrate. For screw-fix installation, pre-drill pilot holes through the hollow board face at each batten location to prevent board splitting. Fix boards sequentially from the base of the wall upward, maintaining consistent joint spacing. Maintain a minimum 10mm expansion gap at all board ends and perimeter junctions to accommodate thermal movement. Note that the hollow-core profile is not suitable for applications requiring cut-end exposure — finish all exposed board ends with compatible SONSILL WPC end caps or aluminium trim sections.
